Princeton Architectural Press 2008 Fall Catalog

Princeton Architectural Press 2008 Fall Catalog
Originally uploaded by Handmade Nation!.

Just went to the PO Box and found these catalogs from our editor Clare- this is the first we have seen of our book in print. So very exciting!!

I've posted a few other pictures in the flickr account.

Tonight we shot the opening sequence for the 20 minute clip that will screen at Light Industry in NYC June 10th. With the help of Bobby and Andrew of Specialentertainment.com and my fantastic editor Cris we took a little over 4 hours to set-up, hand sew the movie title and break down the set.

I feel like I did a fairly good job of free-handing the lettering for the titles, it was harder than I expected and my fingers are RAW!

Here I am working and you can see the monitor I was watching myself sew on in front of me for 2.5 hours

final embroidery piece for opening credit of 20 minute clip
done! I free-hand embroidered this without any lines to trace- a bit harder than I expected.

Why is it that everything always happens at the same time, or within the same week? Yesterday I spent the day at Paper Boat working but did a little multi-tasking doing gocco printing on these sweet poppy color mini-folders that fit a DVD perfectly for the press kits we plan to send out next week for the silent art auction. Here is the end result:

Press Kits
Two screens were used on the front

Press Kits
And one screen on the inside

Press Kits
50 total were printed

I also assembled 150 out of 300 of the wooden spool catalogs for the "Devotion To Thread" show that opens this Saturday....
